About Me

I, Kensuke Hamada, born and raised in Fukuoka, Japan, have built a solid foundation in the legal profession with 15 years of experience as a lawyer. My focus has been primarily on corporate law, which has allowed me to gain an in-depth understanding of the intricacies of business law and the legal requirements for companies operating in Japan.

I have worked with many clients, particularly those with foreign executives. This has given me a unique perspective on the legal issues they face in Japan. I provide customized legal solutions to help them navigate business complexities.

Collection of debt	We support the swift collection of outstanding debts by sending a registered letter of demand, among other measures for negotiation.
Contract drafting and review	We have extensive experience in drafting and reviewing contracts, and we are able to handle contracts written in English as well.
Labor Issues	Support for complying with Japan's complex labor laws and preventing or resolving issues with your employees.
Protection of intellectual property	Advice on intellectual property rights acquisition and protection.

Collection of Debt & Damages

Do you have any payments you wish to claim from Japanese companies or individuals? I can assist you in debt collection as your agent. Furthermore, when initiating formal legal procedures, it is crucial to consider which country's court system to use. This is because considerations must be made for issues regarding international jurisdiction and the execution of final enforcement proceedings. In many cases, pursuing legal action in Japan can be more advantageous when dealing with Japanese entities or individuals, compared to initiating a lawsuit in your country. Assistance for Foreign Lawyers

We can act as a local representative when a foreign lawyer negotiates with a party in Japan. We can investigate the operational status and asset information of the opposing company using tools and services available only within Japan. Compliance Review

If you plan to do business in Japan, it's important to ensure that your business plan complies with Japanese laws, regulations and guidelines. For instance, flying drones is heavily restricted in certain areas of Japan. Moreover, some industries are subject to foreign investment regulations. We can assist you by checking the legality of your business plan in advance and helping you to conduct business in accordance with Japanese law.
